Lil Baby is back in full force after a two-year break, with his album WHAM (Who Hard As Me) already out and another project, Dominique, set to drop soon. But the excitement doesn’t stop there—Lil Baby has hinted at an upcoming collaboration with Future and Young Thug that has fans buzzing.

In a recent episode of Spotify’s Day In The Life, Lil Baby shared that he and Future had been working on a joint project, an idea that originally came from Young Thug during his time in jail. With Thug now home, he’s eager to jump in and join the collaboration.

“Me and Future was working on a joint tape,” Lil Baby said, revealing how Thug had suggested the idea while incarcerated. “Now, Slime came home… you know he ain’t goin’ for that. He like, ‘Sh*t.’ It’s actually Thug’s idea. When he was in jail, he was like, ‘Call Pluto, I want y’all to do a tape together.’”

The trio teased what this project might sound like on WHAM with the track “Dum, Dumb & Dumber,” which features all three artists. However, this isn’t the first time they’ve been linked to a joint project. In the past, the three were reportedly working on Super Slimey 2, a sequel to Future and Thug’s 2017 tape, along with Gunna. But those plans were put on hold when both Thug and Gunna were caught up in legal battles.

Since then, Gunna has made his return to music after a guilty plea and early release, but his relationship with Lil Baby appears to be complicated. On the other hand, Thug has patched things up with his collaborators and is ready to hit the studio once more.

Producer Southside recently dropped a hint that Super Slimey 2 could still be on the horizon. It’s unclear if this is the same joint project Lil Baby and Future are working on or if it’s a separate endeavor, but one thing is for sure—trap fans are in for a massive treat.

With Lil Baby, Future, and Young Thug joining forces, any project they release together is sure to be a major moment in rap. Stay tuned for what’s next from this powerhouse trio.
